Glass Vials • All of our glass vials are made of Type I borosilicate glass. • Borosilicate glass provides excellent corrosion resistance, is non-porous and has no catalytic effect. • Borosilicate glass contains boron oxide. Boron oxide serves as a flux or glue to hold the silicate particles together with aluminum oxide and sodium oxide. • Boron oxide particles are very small, causing the silicate to be held together more closely, resulting in a much stronger glass.
• Interlocked Crimp vials have a glass to glass fusion of the insert to the vial, eliminating movement of the insert • Crimp Top vials are designed to work in Agilent and other autosamplers • Big Mouth Crimp Top vials feature a 40% larger opening prevents broken needles due to increased target area
• More glass in the neck area minimizes breakage during decapping • Unique StepVial design precisely centers a limited volume insert • Interlocked Crimp vials have a glass to glass fusion of the insert to the vial, eliminating movement of the insert
